EK-D01 Polysilazane has excellent heat resistance and insulation properties.
EK-D01 Introduction:
EK-D01 is two-component product utilizes a special process to modify polysilazane. The modified polysilazane exhibits excellent toughness, hardness, adhesion, and resistance to heat, yellowing, and high voltage. Adhesion is excellent, reaching level 0, and the paint film can withstand 180° bending without loss of integrity.
Unpowdered varnish can withstand temperatures exceeding 430°C and withstand voltages exceeding 10kV. With the addition of functional powders, it can withstand temperatures exceeding 550°C without yellowing and withstand voltages exceeding 6000V.
Applicable substrates:
Materials such as stainless steel, glass, cast iron, aluminum alloy, titanium alloy, high temperature alloy steel, and manganese steel are all acceptable.
Applicable temperature:
Suitable for outdoor use at room temperature. Resins with good hardness and toughness can withstand temperatures up to 450°C.
The voltage resistance reaches over 6,000 volts and is resistant to thermal shock and cold shock
Depending on the heat resistance of different substrates, the coating’s heat resistance will vary accordingly.
(Note: Different substrates may have different product specifications).

Special Note:
This product is a two-component curing product. Once opened, use the coating within two hours. During extended application periods, tools should be cleaned to prevent them from caking. A single spray coat is recommended, with a dry film thickness not exceeding 100µm.
Standard Application Procedure:
Surface Cleaning → Roughening → Cleaning and Blowing → EK-D01 Treatment → Curing
Process Description:
1. Roughening: Before coating, polish or sandblast the substrate surface to remove rust, dust, and dirt adhering to the surface. Roughening significantly affects the coating quality. Ideally, Sa2.5 and St3 grades should be free of scale (GB/T 30790.4-2014), so please pay close attention.
2. Cleaning: Use a dedicated cleaning agent or degreasing agent to remove any remaining oil, dust, and other contaminants on the roughened surface.
3. Substrate Drying: Before coating, ensure the substrate surface is dry and clean.
4. Paint Mixing: This product is a double-component product. Filter through a 120-mesh filter as needed.
5. Paint Application: Laboratory spraying with a 1.0-caliber spray gun provides optimal appearance and uniformity. The cured coating exhibits a certain degree of hydrophobicity and oleophobicity, so re-application is not recommended.
6. Curing: After spraying, the surface should be dry for 1 hour, the touch should be dry for more than 2 hours, and the actual drying time should be more than 24 hours. It can also be cured quickly by heating (keeping warm at 140℃ for 20 minutes).
Product Storage:
1. Storage must comply with national regulations. The storage environment should be dry, cool, well-ventilated, and away from heat and ignition sources. The packaging container must be kept tightly closed and carefully stored.
2. The storage temperature should be maintained between 5°C and 30°C. The shelf life is 6 months.
3. Opened but unused paint must be sealed and stored.
4. Mixed but unused paint cannot be recycled and must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
5. Products that have exceeded their expiration date may only be used after passing testing.
