EK-M03-D is suitable for glass substrates, ceramics, aluminum, stainless steel and other metal surfaces. It has good bending resistance, boiling water resistance and strong adhesion.
EK-M03-D Introduction:
EK-M03-D utilizes a two-component silicone-modified polysilazane.
The modified polysilazane exhibits excellent toughness, adhesion, and yellowing resistance, capable of withstanding 180° bending without loss of film integrity. It also boasts a Class 0 adhesion rating, significantly improving hydrophobicity, anti-fouling properties, and dielectric strength.
Under the varnish, it can withstand temperatures exceeding 330°C, while the addition of functional powders allows for temperatures exceeding 600°C without yellowing. This significantly enhances the performance and application range of polysilazane.
Applicable substrates:
1. Coating of microcrystalline glass, communications equipment, instruments and equipment, medical and pharmaceutical equipment, and public transportation facilities.
2. Hydrophobic surface coatings for mobile phone panels, mold surfaces, photovoltaic backsheets, automotive wheels, public facilities, etc.
3. Small appliances, kitchenware (non-stick pans, rice cookers), etc.
4. High-voltage insulation components, wire coating, insulation repair and pretreatment, etc.
5. Electric heating elements, tanks, and boxes.
6. Semiconductor applications, including printed circuit boards.
Note: Different substrates require different coating formulations. Within a certain range, the coating can be adjusted to suit the substrate and operating conditions.
Applicable Temperature:
Suitable for operating conditions within 450℃ and short-term high temperature conditions of 550℃.
Depending on the temperature resistance of different substrates, the temperature resistance of the coating will vary accordingly, and it is resistant to cold and hot shocks.
(Note: the corresponding products of different substrates will be different).

Special Note:
This product is a two-component curing product. Once opened, use the coating within two hours.
During extended application periods, tools should be cleaned to prevent them from caking.
A single spray coat is recommended, with a dry film thickness not exceeding 100µm.
Standard Application Procedure:
Surface Cleaning → Roughening → Cleaning and Blowing → EK-M03-D Treatment → Curing
Process Description:
1. Roughening: Before coating, polish or sandblast the substrate surface to remove rust, dust, and dirt adhering to the surface. Roughening significantly affects the coating quality. Ideally, Sa2.5 and St3 grades should be free of scale (GB/T 30790.4-2014), so please pay close attention.
2. Cleaning: Use a dedicated cleaning agent or degreasing agent to remove any remaining oil, dust, and other contaminants on the roughened surface.
3. Substrate Drying: Before coating, ensure the substrate surface is dry and clean.
4. Paint Mixing: This product is a two-component product. Take an appropriate amount of product as needed and filter it through 120 mesh for later use.
5. Paint Application: Laboratory spraying with a 1.0-caliber spray gun provides optimal appearance and uniformity. The cured coating exhibits a certain degree of hydrophobicity and oleophobicity, so re-application is not recommended.
6. Curing: After spraying, the surface should be dry for 1 hour, the touch should be dry for more than 2 hours, and the actual drying time should be more than 24 hours. It can also be cured quickly by heating (keeping warm at 180℃ for 20 minutes).
Product Storage:
1. Storage must comply with national regulations. The storage environment should be dry, cool, well-ventilated, and away from heat and ignition sources. The packaging container must be kept tightly closed and carefully stored.
2. The storage temperature should be maintained between 5°C and 30°C. The shelf life is 6 months.
3. Opened but unused paint must be sealed and stored.
4. Mixed but unused paint cannot be recycled and must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
5. Products that have exceeded their expiration date may only be used after passing testing.
