This product uses a room-temperature-curing epoxy-modified polysilazane as the film-forming material, filled with pigments, zinc phosphate, inorganic silicon powder, and other fillers. Compared with conventional heavy-duty anticorrosive coatings, it offers simple application, single-coat film formation, and a light, thin-film build. The coating withstands service conditions above 200 °C over the long term and combines high hardness, a dense waterproof film, rust prevention, resistance to acid and salt-spray corrosion, and weathering and aging resistance. As a new organic–inorganic hybrid high-temperature anticorrosive coating system, the product incorporates multiple composite materials, including high-temperature molecular materials, rust-inhibiting fillers, ultrafine powders, and organic polymer dispersions; after curing, the particles pack tightly with the resin and the finish shows a degree of gloss. At the same time, the cured film-forming material bonds to the substrate through covalent bonds, greatly increasing the coating's mechanical strength and adhesion.

Typical application areas: (1) boiler components, piping, valves, heat exchangers, radiators, and steel structures and equipment in the chemical and other industries; (2) indoor and outdoor anticorrosion and rust-prevention coating of railway bridges, marine engineering, oil pipelines, metallurgical and chemical facilities, and steel-structure buildings of all kinds; (3) anticorrosion/rust-prevention zinc-repair coatings for welds, bolts and similar areas, and protective coating of iron bridge railings in metallurgical and chemical plants, greenhouses, and outdoor iron railings; (4) small household appliances and kitchenware (burner caps, rice cookers), etc.

Note: the coating formulation differs depending on the substrate; within a certain range, it can be adjusted and matched to the substrate and its service conditions.

Storage, packaging & transport

  • Store in accordance with national regulations. The storage environment must be dry, cool, and well ventilated, away from heat and ignition sources. Keep packaging containers tightly sealed and handle with care.

  • Maintain a storage temperature of 5–30 °C; the shelf life is 6 months.

  • Once opened, containers of unused coating must be tightly resealed with the lid for storage.

  • Mixed coating that is not used up cannot be reclaimed; dispose of it in accordance with local regulations.

  • Product past its shelf life may be used only after testing confirms it still meets specification.

Standard process: Surface cleaning → Abrasive roughening → Cleaning and blow-off → EK-D11 application → Curing

  • Abrasive roughening. Before coating, pre-treat or abrasive-blast the substrate surface to remove rust, dust, dirt, and other contaminants adhering to the workpiece surface. Surface roughening has a major influence on coating performance: Sa2.5 is optimal and St3 with no mill scale is the minimum (GB/T 30790.4-2014), so pay close attention to this step.

  • Cleaning. Use a dedicated cleaner or degreaser to remove oil, dust, and other residues remaining on the roughened surface.

  • Substrate drying. Before coating, ensure the substrate surface is dry and clean.

  • Coating mixing. This is a two-component product: measure out the required amounts at the specified ratio, stir until thoroughly and uniformly mixed, and filter through a 300-mesh screen before use.

  • Coating application. For laboratory spray application, a spray gun with a 1.0 nozzle orifice gives better appearance and uniformity.

  • Curing. After spraying, for room-temperature curing: surface-dry in 1 hour, touch-dry in more than 2 hours, through-dry in more than 24 hours. Rapid heat curing is also possible (hold at 150 °C for 30 minutes).

Note: This is a two-component, room-temperature-curing product; use the mixed coating within 6 hours. During longer breaks in application, clean application tools thoroughly to prevent them from setting up. Application in a single spray pass is recommended, with a dry film thickness not exceeding 60 µm; otherwise coating film performance will decline.
