Polysilazane offers outstanding advantages such as high hardness, high-temperature resistance and resistance to yellowing, but poor toughness and limited bend and boiling-water resistance are major shortcomings. To address these, polyester groups and hydroxyl groups are introduced onto the polysilazane molecular chain; through a cross-linking reaction, the bend resistance, boiling-water resistance, salt-spray resistance and aging resistance of the polysilazane are greatly improved. The product can achieve a 0T bend and shows excellent overall performance; it can air-dry or be bake-cured.
The product is realized as a one-component system, ready for immediate use, which greatly improves convenience of use.
After curing, the coating forms covalent bonds with the substrate; this chemical bonding greatly increases the mechanical strength of the coating.
Typical applications: (1) insulating, high-voltage-resistant coatings for new-energy lithium batteries; (2) heat-insulating reflective coatings; (3) surfaces of metallurgical equipment, molds and foundry equipment; (4) flexible insulated cables, etc.
Choose this grade for polyester-type toughness without two-component mixing: one-component, room-temperature or 150 °C cure, 5–6H, -30…300 °C service.

Service temperature. Cure by baking at 140–160 °C, or at room temperature. The service temperature is below 300 °C. Depending on the temperature resistance of the substrate, the temperature resistance of the coating varies accordingly; the coating withstands hot-cold cycling and thermal shock (note: the product supplied differs depending on the substrate).

Carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum alloys, titanium alloys, high-temperature alloy steels, glass-ceramic panels, ceramics, cement and similar materials are all suitable. Note: The coating formulation differs depending on the substrate. Within a certain range, it can be adjusted to match the substrate and its service conditions.
Storage, packaging & transport
Store in accordance with national regulations. The storage environment must be dry, cool and well ventilated, away from heat sources and open flames. Keep packaging containers tightly sealed and place them with care.
Maintain a storage temperature of 5–30 °C; the shelf life is 6 months to 1 year.
Reseal opened containers of unused coating and store them tightly closed.
Prepared coating that is not used up cannot be reclaimed; dispose of it in accordance with local regulations.
Product past its shelf life may be used only after testing confirms it still meets specification.

Standard process: Surface cleaning → Abrasive roughening → Cleaning and blow-off → EK-M06 spray application → Curing
Abrasive roughening. Before coating, sand or blast the substrate surface to remove rust, dust, dirt and other contaminants adhering to the workpiece surface. Surface roughening has a major influence on coating performance: Sa2.5 is optimal and St3 with no mill scale is the minimum (GB/T 30790.4-2014), so give this step full attention.
Cleaning. Use a dedicated cleaner or degreaser to remove residual oil, dust and other contaminants from the roughened surface.
Substrate drying. Before coating, ensure the substrate surface is dry and clean.
Coating mixing. This product is one-component; filter through a 200-mesh screen and spray. No dilution required.
Coating application. For laboratory spray application, a 1.0 mm nozzle spray gun gives better appearance and uniformity.
Curing. After spraying, with room-temperature curing the coating should be surface-dry in 1 hour, touch-dry in more than 2 hours and through-dry in more than 24 hours; accelerated heat curing is also possible (180 °C for 20 minutes).
Note: This product is a one-component ambient-curing product; once dispensed, use the coating within 6 hours. During longer application periods, clean the application tools thoroughly to prevent them from setting up. Application in a single spray pass is recommended, with a dry film thickness not exceeding 100 µm; otherwise coating film performance will decline.
