This product is a silicone-modified polysilazane supplied as a one-component system. The modified polysilazane exhibits excellent toughness, hardness, adhesion and yellowing resistance together with a hydrophobic self-cleaning function: the paint film withstands 180° bending while remaining intact, with adhesion of Grade 0 (cross-cut).
With hardness moderated to increase toughness, the unfilled clear varnish withstands temperatures above 400 °C, and grades filled with functional powders withstand above 500 °C without yellowing. This greatly extends the service performance and application range of polysilazane.
Choose this grade for hydrophobic self-cleaning protection without mixing: one-component silicone-modified system, >2000 h salt spray, room-temperature cure, -30…380 °C service.

Service temperature. Intended for outdoor service at ambient temperature; resin grades adjusted for hardness with good toughness can withstand high-temperature service conditions up to 430 °C. The coating's temperature resistance varies according to the temperature resistance of the particular substrate; the coating resists cold–heat cycling and thermal shock (note: the product supplied differs depending on the substrate).

Stainless steel, glass, cast iron, aluminum alloy, titanium alloy, high-temperature alloy steel, glass-ceramic panels, ceramics, photovoltaic glass panels and similar materials are all suitable. Note: the coating formulation differs depending on the substrate; within a certain range it can be adjusted and matched to the substrate and its service conditions.
Storage, packaging & transport
Store in accordance with national regulations in a dry, cool, well-ventilated environment, away from heat and ignition sources. Keep packaging containers tightly closed and place them with care.
Maintain the storage temperature between 5 °C and 30 °C; the shelf life is 12 months.
Coating that has been opened but not used up must be stored with the container lid tightly sealed.
Mixed (thinned) coating that has not been used up cannot be reclaimed; dispose of it in accordance with local regulations.
Product past its shelf life may be used only after testing confirms it still conforms.

Standard process: Surface cleaning → abrasive roughening → cleaning and blow-off → pour an appropriate amount into the spray cup → EK-M08 spray application → curing
Abrasive roughening. Before coating, sand or grit-blast the substrate surface to remove rust, dust, dirt and other contamination adhering to the workpiece surface. Roughening has a considerable influence on coating performance: Sa2.5 is optimal and the minimum is St3 with no mill scale (GB/T 30790.4-2014), so give this step full attention.
Cleaning. Remove residual oil, dust and other contamination from the roughened surface using a dedicated cleaning agent or degreaser.
Substrate drying. Before coating, ensure the substrate surface is dry and clean.
Coating application. For laboratory spray application, a spray gun with a 1.0 nozzle bore gives better appearance and uniformity. The cured coating is somewhat hydrophobic and oleophobic, so repeated recoating is not recommended.
Curing. After spraying, room-temperature curing should give surface-dry in 30 minutes, touch-dry in more than 2 hours and through-dry in more than 24 hours; accelerated heat curing is also possible (hold at 140 °C for 20 minutes).
Note: This product is a one-component curing product; once the container is opened, use the coating within 6 hours. During longer intervals in application, clean the application tools thoroughly to prevent them from setting. Application in a single spray pass is recommended, with a dry film thickness not exceeding 100 µm.
