Polysilazane offers excellent temperature resistance and electrical insulation. This product is a polysilazane modified by a special process and is one-component. The modified polysilazane exhibits excellent toughness, hardness, adhesion, heat resistance with resistance to yellowing, and high-voltage endurance. Adhesion is outstanding — Grade 0 — and the paint film remains intact after 180° bending. The unfilled clear varnish withstands temperatures above 400 °C and voltages above 10 kV; with functional powders it withstands above 520 °C without yellowing, greatly extending the performance and application range of polysilazane.
The room-temperature-curing resin can also be used on polyimide film and leather coatings, offering excellent adhesion, bending and flex resistance, and hydrophobic anti-soiling performance.
Choose this grade when insulation must survive bending: a high-toughness one-component resin whose film stays intact after 180° bending, with ≥10⁵ V/mm dielectric strength and 30 kV/mm impulse resistance. Clear varnish serves above 400 °C; versions with functional powders above 520 °C. Suited to cables, PI film, leather and metal profiles.

Leather, cables, flexible PI (polyimide) film and similar materials, as well as stainless steel and aluminium profiles. Note: The coating formulation differs with the substrate; within a certain range it can be adjusted and matched to the substrate and its service conditions.
Storage, packaging & transport
Store in accordance with national regulations. The storage environment should be dry, cool and well ventilated, away from heat and ignition sources. Packaging containers must be kept tightly closed and placed with care.
The storage temperature must be maintained between 5 °C and 30 °C; the shelf life is 6 months.
Opened but unused coating must be stored with the container lid tightly sealed.
Mixed coating that is not used up cannot be reclaimed and should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
Product beyond its shelf life may be used only after testing confirms it still meets specification.

Standard process: Surface cleaning → Abrasive roughening → Cleaning and blow-off → EK-M10 spray application → Curing
Abrasive roughening. Before coating, sand or grit-blast the substrate surface to remove rust, dust, dirt and other deposits adhering to the surface to be treated. Roughening has a considerable influence on coating performance: Sa2.5 is optimal and St3 with no mill scale is the minimum (GB/T 30790.4-2014), so pay close attention to this step.
Cleaning. Remove residual oil, dust and other contamination from the roughened surface with a dedicated cleaner or degreaser.
Substrate drying. Before coating, ensure the substrate surface is dry and clean.
Coating preparation. As printed in the TDS: dilute component A with 20–30% solvent, slowly add component B while stirring, mix for 5–10 minutes until uniform, let stand for 10 minutes, then filter through a 120-mesh screen before spraying. (Note: the sheet elsewhere describes the product as one-component — the A/B mixing step is being confirmed with the manufacturer.)
Coating application. For laboratory spray application, a spray gun with a 1.0 orifice gives better appearance and uniformity. The cured coating is somewhat hydrophobic and oleophobic, so repeated recoating is not recommended.
Curing. After spraying, for room-temperature curing allow surface drying in 1 hour, touch-dry in more than 2 hours and dry-through in more than 24 hours; rapid heat curing is also possible (180 °C for 20 minutes).
Note: This product is a one-component curing product; once the container is opened, use the coating within 2–4 hours. During longer breaks in application, clean the application tools thoroughly to prevent them from setting up. Application in a single spray pass is recommended, with a dry film thickness not exceeding 150 µm.
