The material

How this grade works and where it fits — exact parameters are defined in the TDS.

A modified polysilazane supplied as a one-component system. The technical description states that the modification is made by introducing carbon–carbon double bonds and phenyl groups, which give the resin reactivity together with toughness, hardness, adhesion and resistance to yellowing, plus a hydrophobic anti-graffiti self-cleaning function.

The modification also improves the water, moisture and mould resistance of the silazane resin while providing high hardness, wear and weathering resistance, heat resistance and high light transmission. The cured film withstands a 180° bend intact with cross-cut adhesion of grade 0. The cured surface is hydrophobic and oleophobic, so recoating is not recommended.

Choose this grade for a clear, hard, weather-resistant film that stays easy to clean — the technical description names anti-graffiti and self-cleaning behaviour alongside high light transmission and resistance to yellowing.

Note two figures given in the same document: the parameters table specifies a recommended service temperature of −50 to 300 °C with 400 °C momentary resistance, while the service-temperature section states outdoor service at ambient temperatures with variants withstanding up to 350 °C. Both are reproduced as given; confirm the operating window for your case during technical review.

Curing conditions

Ambient: surface-dry 30 min, touch-dry >2 h, through-dry >24 h. Rapid heat cure: 150 °C for 20 min. Pot life 3–6 h

Per application process

Recommended film thickness

20–100 µm dry film. Apply in a single spray pass, not exceeding 100 µm

Shelf life

12 months (storage at +5 to +30 °C)

Storage conditions apply

Pencil hardness 6H air-dried and ≥7H bake-cured. Adhesion grade 0 (cross-cut). The film withstands a 180° bend intact. Water contact angle 107–112°. Neutral salt spray resistance >2000 h. Artificial weathering: 30 days with no rusting, chalking, cracking or discoloration.

Dielectric strength ≥10⁵ V/mm. Volume resistivity ≥10¹³ Ω·m. Density 0.89 ± 0.02 g/mL. Solids content >50% at (120 ± 2) °C. Theoretical coverage 10–15 m²/kg. Flash point below 22 °C — solvent flash point. Diluents: esters, xylene, ethers.

Substrates & storage

Compatibility and handling essentials — confirmed per grade in the TDS and SDS.

Suitable substrates

Steel and stainless steel

Aluminium and other metals

Glass and ceramics

Stone and mineral surfaces

Stainless steel, glass, cast iron, aluminium alloys, titanium alloys, high-temperature alloy steels, glass-ceramic panels, ceramics, photovoltaic glass panels and various fibres. The coating formulation differs by substrate and can be matched to the substrate and its service conditions within a certain range.

Storage, packaging & transport

Store in accordance with national regulations, in a dry, cool, well-ventilated place away from heat and ignition sources, with containers kept tightly closed. Storage temperature +5 to +30 °C and shelf life 12 months. Once opened, reseal the container tightly; opened material should be used within 6 hours. Prepared material that is not used up cannot be reclaimed and must be disposed of per local regulations. Product past its shelf life may be used only after testing confirms it still meets specifications.

Packaging

1 kg / 5 kg / 25 kg (grade-dependent)

Transport classification

Per SDS

Application process

General guidance — exact parameters are provided in the TDS and Application Guide.

01

Surface preparation

Clean, degrease and prepare the substrate.

02

Application

Spray, dip or wipe depending on grade.

03

Curing

Cure per the TDS conditions.

04

Quality control

Verify film build and adhesion.

Surface preparation: grind or blast the substrate to remove rust, dust and deposits — optimum grade Sa 2.5, minimum St 3 with no mill scale per GB/T 30790.4-2014. Clean with a dedicated cleaner or degreaser, then make sure the surface is dry.

Apply in a single spray pass with a dry film thickness not exceeding 100 µm; for laboratory spraying a 1.0 mm nozzle gives better appearance and uniformity. Once the container is opened, use the coating within 6 hours; during longer breaks clean the tools thoroughly to stop them setting solid.
