The material
How this grade works and where it fits — exact parameters are defined in the TDS.
Solvent-free low-viscosity liquid polysilazane resin for flexible heat-resistant, hydrophobic, easy-clean, corrosion-resistant and bend-resistant coatings. Hardness is deliberately lower than the hard grades in the range — 3–4H instead of 8–9H — in exchange for the ability to flex with the substrate.
Choose this grade when the coated part flexes in service and a hard ceramic film would crack. If maximum scratch resistance matters more than flexibility, EK-S1501 is the harder alternative.
Suitable for
Industrial applications within the TDS parameters
Metal, glass, ceramic and stone substrates — per grade
Professional application and curing processes
Not intended for
Consumer or DIY use — industrial B2B supply only
Conditions outside the parameters defined in the TDS
Food-contact or medical use unless explicitly confirmed
Applications
Recommended application areas for this grade, based on its TDS. Application fit is confirmed during technical review.
Hydrophobic and abrasion-resistant coatings for flexible plastic surfaces. Anti-ageing and anti-icing coatings for wind turbine blades.
