The material

How this grade works and where it fits — exact parameters are defined in the TDS.

Ekasilazane Ceramic Coat 2.0 is a transparent, colourless, ready-to-use protective coating. It is designed to protect surfaces against dirt, road de-icing chemicals, animal droppings, aggressive car-care chemistry, weathering and UV degradation. The coating forms a durable barrier layer with pronounced water- and dirt-repellent properties and bonds chemically to the substrate. It cures at room temperature under the action of atmospheric moisture. The increased hardness allows repeated washing without degrading the coating.

Water- and dirt-repellent · easy surface cleaning · high adhesion · chemical resistance · resistance to ultraviolet radiation · economical consumption · room-temperature cure.

Choose this grade when the required service interval is 8–12 months of water repellency and up to 2 years of protection. All grades in the line share the same composition, application method and cure; they differ in service life.

Applications

Recommended application areas for this grade, based on its TDS. Application fit is confirmed during technical review.

Recommended for vehicle bodywork and other hard non-absorbent surfaces exposed to dirt, road de-icing chemicals, animal droppings, aggressive car-care chemistry, weathering and UV. Two-stage washing is recommended: first a touchless wash with an alkaline shampoo of pH not above 12, then a contact wash with a neutral-alkaline or acidic shampoo.

Substrates & storage

Compatibility and handling essentials — confirmed per grade in the TDS and SDS.

Suitable substrates

Steel and stainless steel

Aluminium and other metals

Glass and ceramics

Stone and mineral surfaces

Hard, non-absorbent surfaces: paint systems of various types, plastic, chrome, vinyl and polyurethane films. The substrate must be clean, dry, degreased and non-absorbent. Dry hard-to-reach areas additionally with absorbent wipes or compressed air — contact with a wet surface makes the composition react prematurely and prevents a durable protective layer from forming. Substrate temperature +5 to +30 °C.

Storage, packaging & transport

24 months from the production date at +5 to +20 °C. Packaging: 15 ml, 30 ml and 50 ml containers. The cured coating is non-flammable, odourless and harmless to health. Wear gloves and eye protection during application; if it contacts the skin, wash it off with soapy water. The instructions in the safety data sheet are mandatory.

Supplied ready to use. Apply in sections of 0.5–1 m² with a microfibre applicator or technical chamois and buff immediately with a microfibre cloth. One coat. Work at an air temperature of +15 to +30 °C and relative humidity not above 80 %, out of direct sunlight; the room must be dry and protected from moisture. Only trained, qualified personnel should work with the composition; a test patch on a small area is recommended before use. Average consumption approx. 1–2 ml/m². Keep water and contamination off the applicator and replace it if they appear; do not reuse an applicator. Do not use the composition if it has cured in the container or if sediment has formed.
