MIR 337 is a transparent, colourless, ready-to-use coating built on a patented polysilazane technology. On application it forms a dense barrier layer that bonds chemically to the substrate rather than sitting on top of it. Curing takes place at room temperature in the presence of atmospheric humidity, so no oven or additional equipment is required.
The cured film is free of fluorine-containing components. It resists aggressive chemical reagents including solvents and alkalis, holds up under prolonged sunlight, and can be cleaned repeatedly without reapplying the protective layer. Removal is possible by mechanical means only — abrasive systems or comparable tooling — which is a direct consequence of its chemical resistance.

Choose this grade when the requirement is to protect stone without changing how it looks: a transparent, colourless film that cures at room temperature, resists UV and chemicals, and can be cleaned repeatedly. Note that it is alkali-resistant but not sufficiently acid-resistant — for surfaces in regular contact with acidic media, discuss the application with our technical team first.
Clean with products in the pH 4–10 range. Strong inorganic acids and alkali metals must not contact the coating, as they break down the molecular structure of the protective layer. For heavier soiling such as graffiti use the CB 120 solvent degreaser, the IPA alcohol degreaser, or surfactant-based household cleaners; 646-series industrial thinner removes stubborn residues but should be used briefly and with care. Correctly applied, the coating has a service life of five years or more.

Recommended for stone surfaces exposed to staining, weathering and wear: worktops and countertops, sinks, window sills, decorative elements and stone facades, indoors and outdoors. The barrier prevents paint from penetrating the surface structure, so graffiti and other contamination can be removed without aggressive cleaning agents.

Adhesion grade 0 (GOST 31149-2014). Pencil hardness 9H for the gloss grade and 6H for the semi-matt grade (GOST 54586-2011). Impact resistance 50 cm direct and reverse (GOST 4765-2024). Bending elasticity over a 1 mm mandrel without damage (GOST 6806-2024). Water contact angle 103.95 ± 2.42° measured on a Kruss DSA instrument, with a total surface energy of 15.37 ± 1.06 mJ/m²; the technical description separately states 95° for the standard version, extendable to 120° with modifiers. Drying to grade 3 in 3 hours (GOST 19007-2023).
Corrosion testing: aluminium withstood 100 days (2400 h) of neutral salt spray to ISO 7253:1996 with no signs of corrosion; steel withstood 100 days (2400 h) of condensing humidity to ISO 6270-2:2005 with no damage.
Chemical resistance to GOST 9.403-2022, one hour of static exposure: sunflower oil, wine and alkaline household cleaner produced no change. Table vinegar at 9 % left a mark after 20 minutes and removed the coating after 30 minutes. The coating is therefore alkali-resistant but not sufficiently acid-resistant.

The coating forms a transparent barrier that preserves the natural texture and appearance of the material. It also performs on concrete, glass, ceramics, smooth non-absorbent surfaces, painted surfaces based on one- or two-component polyurethane and epoxy systems, polyester coatings and glass-reinforced plastic.
Storage, packaging & transport
Store in a tightly closed container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from heat, sparks and open flame. Flash point below 21 °C — flammable liquid. Shelf life 24 months from delivery at up to +20 °C in sealed packaging. Supplied in 15 ml, 50 ml, 100 ml, 500 ml and 1 L containers.

MIR 337 is applied with subsequent polishing. After the coating is spread over the surface it is buffed out, which is what produces the ultra-thin film and preserves a mirror finish without altering the reflection. All other preparation, application and curing steps match MIR 336.
Shake the container thoroughly before use. Apply with a microfibre applicator, technical chamois, roller or brush, by dipping, or with spray equipment. For spraying use an LVLP or HVLP gun on compressed air at 2–3 bar with a 0.8–1.3 mm nozzle, and clean the gun immediately after work with butyl acetate or 646 thinner. Several coats may be applied at five-minute intervals.
Work at an ambient temperature of at least +5 °C and a relative humidity of 30–85 %, keeping the surface out of direct sunlight and protected from rain. Substrate temperature at preparation and application must be between +5 °C and +30 °C.
Surface preparation: mechanical cleaning of loose contamination with a brush or compressed air, then degreasing. For mineral, glass and metal surfaces degrease first with a solvent degreaser and then with an alcohol degreaser — Quartz Master CB 120 followed by IPA. For polycarbonate and acrylic use isopropyl alcohol only, as other solvents can cloud the surface. The surface must be clean, dry, degreased and non-absorbent; contact with moisture before curing prevents a sound film from forming.
Consumption is approximately 15 ml/m². Decant only the quantity needed and do not return unused material to the original container. Application tools must be clean and completely dry, and applicators must not be reused.
