ANTIGRAFFITI MIR is a transparent, colourless, ready-to-use coating built on a patented polysilazane technology. It protects surfaces against graffiti, soiling, weathering, ageing and corrosion, forming a barrier layer that bonds chemically to the substrate rather than sitting on top of it. Curing takes place at room temperature in the presence of atmospheric humidity, so no oven or additional equipment is required.
The formulation contains no fluorine compounds. The cured film holds up under prolonged sunlight and can be cleaned repeatedly without reapplying the protective layer. Removal is possible by mechanical means only — abrasive systems or comparable tooling — which is a direct consequence of its chemical resistance.
ANTIGRAFFITI MIR is supplied in two finishes, transparent and matte, as confirmed by the manufacturer. Specify the finish when ordering.
Choose this grade where a surface has to survive repeated graffiti removal without being recoated each time — street furniture, facades, transport infrastructure and signage. The film is transparent and preserves the appearance of the substrate.
Clean with products in the pH 3–12 range. The technical description states high resistance to aggressive chemical reagents including solvents, acids and alkalis, and separately warns that contact with strong inorganic acids and alkali metals is prohibited because they break down the molecular structure of the protective layer; both statements are reproduced as given. For heavier soiling use the CleanPro universal degreaser or surfactant-based household cleaners; 646-series industrial thinner removes stubborn residues but should be used briefly and with care.

Recommended for surfaces exposed to graffiti, sticker residue and soiling: metal structures and street furniture, natural stone and concrete facades, painted and powder-coated surfaces, glass-reinforced plastic. The barrier prevents paint from penetrating the surface structure, so graffiti and other contamination can be removed without aggressive cleaning agents.

Water contact angle 95° in the standard version, extendable to 120° with modifiers. Density approximately 0.92 g/cm³. Flash point below 25 °C. Dry film 2–4 µm for the standard transparent coating, at a consumption of approximately 70–100 ml/m². Service life of a correctly applied coating is five years or more.
Corrosion testing: aluminium withstood 100 days (2400 h) of neutral salt spray to ISO 7253:1996 with no signs of corrosion; steel withstood 100 days (2400 h) of condensing humidity to ISO 6270-2:2005 with no damage.
The cured film does not burn, is odourless and is harmless to health in normal use.

Metals including aluminium, zinc, stainless steel, copper, brass and bronze. Natural stone including granite, marble, limestone, sandstone, slate, travertine, quartzite and onyx. Smooth, non-absorbent surfaces including painted surfaces based on one- or two-component polyurethane and epoxy systems, polyester coatings and glass-reinforced plastic. Polycarbonate and acrylic are also possible — degrease these with isopropyl alcohol only, as other solvents cloud the surface.
Storage, packaging & transport
Store in a tightly closed container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from heat, sparks and open flame. Flash point below 25 °C — flammable liquid. Shelf life 24 months from delivery at up to +20 °C in sealed packaging. Supplied in 15 ml, 50 ml, 100 ml, 500 ml and 1 L containers.

Shake the container thoroughly before use. Apply in a single coat with a microfibre or technical-chamois applicator, a brush, or spray equipment. The technical description gives two sets of spray settings and both are reproduced here: a pneumatic HVLP gun on compressed air at 2–3 bar with a 0.8–1.3 mm nozzle, and, in the application section, a gun with a 0.8–1 mm nozzle at up to 3.5 bar. Clean the gun immediately after work with n-butyl acetate.
Work at an ambient temperature of at least +5 °C and a relative humidity of 30–85 %, avoiding external moisture such as rain. Substrate temperature at preparation and application must be between +5 °C and +30 °C.
Surface preparation: mechanical cleaning of loose contamination with a brush or compressed air, then degreasing. For mineral, glass and metal surfaces use white spirit, petrol, acetone or a professional degreaser. For polycarbonate and acrylic use isopropyl alcohol only. The surface must be clean, dry, degreased and non-absorbent; contact with moisture before curing prevents a sound film from forming.
Consumption is approximately 70–100 ml/m². Decant only the quantity needed and do not return unused material to the original container. Application tools must be clean and completely dry, and applicators must not be reused. Material that has cured or formed sediment in the working container must not be used.
